What is The Understory?
The Understory is a community for women who are imagining something radically different for their work, their lives, and their futures. It is a space for women who want to live and build their work, their leadership, and their lives from a place of authenticity, connection, and care.
We are not here to replicate hustle culture or outdated models of power.
We are here to support each other and grow together.
To rewrite the stories we've been told about leadership, success, and who gets to take up space, opening new possibilities for a supportive and sustainable future
To root deeper and rise in ways that feel true: building from authenticity, connection, and care rather than replicating hustle culture or outdated models of power
To co-create a web of support where we're valued as we are, where we discover our roots, and where we grow in community into our full selves
